Shape the Future of AI: Become a Turing Research Contributor

Turing invites AI researchers, graduate students, and domain experts to join our Frontier Contributor Program, a paid initiative focused on advancing reasoning, alignment, and evaluation in large language models (LLMs).

Accepted contributors will help create high-quality data that test and shape how models reason, solve complex problems, and align with human intent.

Whether you're a PhD student, research engineer, or alignment enthusiast, this is your chance to participate in one of the most critical challenges in AI, and potentially receive monthly scholarship (or stipend).

Why Join as a Frontier Contributor?

  1. Potential of up to $2,000/month for accepted prompt contributions
  2. Hands-on impact shaping how SOTA models learn, reason, and align
  3. Recognition and visibility for your work as part of a Turing paid initiative
  4. Flexible and async—contribute on your own schedule
  5. Ideal for PhDs, engineers, and researchers looking to build frontier-aligned credentials

How It Works

  1. Register your interest using the form
  2. If accepted, you'll receive onboarding instructions via email, including access to EDU Arena—our platform providing free access to advanced AI for students
  3. Submit advanced prompts that evaluate or challenge model reasoning—aligned to our standards
  4. Earn stipends based on the number and quality of accepted prompts

Data  can span disciplines, problem types, and reasoning formats. Our research team will review submissions and determine stipend eligibility on a rolling basis.

Payment Details

  1. Accepted high quality data contributions are eligable for up to $50 per data point.
  2. Contributors may earn up to $2,000 USD per month.
  3. The typical range of accepted data points is 20-35 per month.
  4. Compensation is based on accepted high quality data only.
  5. All data is subject to review prior to acceptance.
  6. Payouts are issued monthly based on final review.

‍More details on payments and process will be shared over email before you start contributing the data.

Who Qualifies

This opportunity is open to anyone 18 or older with a strong interest in advancement of LLMs. Ideal candidates include:

  1. MS and PhD students or postdocs in any discipline
  2. Research engineers or AI practitioners working on model evaluation
  3. Individuals with a track record of expertise in their discipline

You don’t need formal credentials to apply—but depth of thought, originality, and precision are critical. Prior experience with data or model alignment is a plus.

Your Commitment

There’s no minimum quota or fixed time commitment—just a shared goal: help advance the frontier through original, high-quality prompts.

As a Frontier Contributor, you’ll:

  1. Submit prompts that challenge model reasoning across diverse domains
  2. Follow prompt guidelines provided during onboarding
  3. Contribute independently and asynchronously, on your own schedule
  4. ‍Participate in periodic feedback or iteration loops with the Turing research team (optional)

If selected, your contributions will support ongoing work in data collection, evaluation, and model alignment.
