Quality data, faster training: Turing and Fireworks AI

Every team building with AI eventually hits the same challenge: the off-the-shelf model performs well, but not well enough for a specific task. Closing that gap takes two things.

  1. The first is high-quality data. Turing helps frontier AI labs build the datasets and evaluation systems that improve model performance. This includes expert-written and expert-reviewed examples, coding and reasoning data, evaluation sets, RL environments, and human feedback.
  2. The second is training. Fireworks AI gives you a fast, managed way to turn that data into a model: fine-tune an open model on your dataset, then serve it on the same platform with low latency and no infrastructure to manage.

If you’re building or fine-tuning an AI model and need expert-validated training data, evaluations, or RL environments, Turing can help. This post explains how the two fit together and how to go from expert-curated datasets to deploying a model in production.

Why data and training belong together

A fine-tuning run is only as good as what goes into it. Noisy labels, narrow coverage, or inconsistent formatting show up directly in model behavior. Turing’s focus is on the front half of that problem: getting data that is accurate, diverse, and tailored to your use case.

Fireworks handles the back half: running training jobs reliably, tracking results, and deploying the finished model. Once the dataset is ready, it can be used to fine-tune a model on Fireworks and move toward production deployment.
